Centre of Excellence Goalkeeper Academy



Goalkeeper Coaches

The OSU Force Academy has highly experienced goalkeeper coaches, who are highly qualified, and understand the needs and demands of this unique position and deliver a specialist, progressive program, full of high-tempo, structured coaching sessions and drills to fine tune all key elements specific to this, unique, role.

Goalkeeper Core Performance Development

The OSU Force Academy ‘s dynamic, performance development program focuses upon 4 core elements necessary to develop a goalkeeper for the modern game:

       Technical Development - including: mobility; foot-work; positioning; diving; distribution; shot stopping; dealing with crosses; handling

       Physical Conditioning - focusing upon: balance; co-ordination; speed, agility, endurance, strength, and flexibility

       Mental Conditioning and Character - to increase: personal effectiveness under pressure; dealing effectively with mistakes, setbacks and criticism; maintaining self-confidence; effective decision-making; bravery; concentration; motivation; and discipline  

       Teamwork and Tactical Development – developing a better understanding of: teambuilding; initiating attacks; organizing the team to defend; commanding the penalty area; preparing for set pieces; communicating effectively; and the development of good all-round, ‘outfield skills’ and tactical awareness.

The OSU Force Academy has partnered with the International Keeper Academy to provide the best keeper programming in ontario & Canada.
