Grassroots Academy

The Force Academy follows a training curriculum developed by the Club Head Coach Paul Harris.

Paul is a product of the English Academy system having played for Crewe Alexandria and coached at the famed

Everton FC Academy for over 10 years. The OSU Force Academy Way development program is innovative,

challenging, and FUN.

The unique structure of the Academy and the distinctive nature of the curriculum is conducive to optimum player

development. A significant amount of time and effort that has gone into developing the Force Academy Curriculum,

to ensure that this unique method of development remains exclusive to the Force Academy players and coaches.

The curriculum is a progressive year-long model that is divided into two modules:

      -Summer ( June, July, August)

-Fall/ Winter ( November, December, January, February)

The Academy coaching staff implements the Everton Way curriculum in a way specific to a player’s skill level,

progressing some players more quickly than others, and allowing for all players to develop at different rates.

The curriculum is set in place to bring consistency into the Academy structure so that a player can enter the

Academy at age of U6 and progress well-equipped with the skill set and foundation needed to succeed at the

competitive and Elite levels.

Important Note: This year the Grassroots Academy Program will be used as a means for our technical staff to

identify players for our U7 & U8 Winter Pre Academy squads. These squads will form the nucleus of our 2016,

U7 & U8 Pre Academy Teams.
